The Fischer King: suggested reading
Just finished reading: “Bobby Fischer Goes to War : How the Soviets Lost the Most Extraordinary Chess Match of All Time.” Excellent book.
It got me thinking about two figures of the early 70s: Fischer and Bruce Lee. Both mastered arts previously seen as fringe hobbies and catapulted them into mainstream consciousness...then both were gone and are forever remembered as young geniuses.
(BTW, you don’t have to play chess to appreciate the Fischer book.)

Continental Divide
I told one of my clients that Michele and I had seen the documentary, “Bukowski: Born Into This” (http://www.magpictures.com/distribution/bukowski/).
My client replied: “Who’s Bukowski?”
He’s only been dead ten years...not enough time to reach East End Avenue, I guess.
