Activist Alert: Two more days to help Alaskan wolves
You may remember an earlier post asking you to send a postcard to help prevent the slaughter of the wolves in question. Well, time is running out and help is still desperately needed.
The aerial photo above was sent to me by Lee Hall. It was taken by Gordon Haber, a wolf biologist, and shows Coke Wallace hauling the matriarch of the Toklat wolf tribe home from his trapping site on Feb. 11. You can see the trap (and cable) just behind her on the sled (she is covered with a light layer of snow from the snow machine).
Lee told me: “Her mate goes to the scene every day, and howls.”
