Chomsky's job

“But it’s all so depressing,” cried JoAnn Wypijewski, managing editor of The Nation, when Chomsky had finished outlining to her his analysis of some supposed breakthrough in Palestinian-Israeli peace talks.

“It’s not my job to cheer you up,” Chomsky replied.
