Summer re-runs (Part 2)
Hey, Mickey. How’s it going?
Posted by Charles from Jersey City, NJ on 07/21 at 06:34 PMDoing my best to roll with the punches. You?
Posted by Mickey Z. from Astoria on 07/21 at 07:13 PMI never learned how to roll. That’s my problem.
Posted by Charles from Jersey City, NJ on 07/21 at 07:24 PMYeah, sooner or later, the punches land.
Posted by Mickey Z. from Astoria on 07/21 at 08:40 PMGood morning Mickey and everyone, good article Mickey.
Someone one said, “one act of violence to end all of the violence.” Too bad it’s not that simple on a large scale.
Posted by Joe of Maine from The Window on 07/22 at 03:04 AMWhere is everyone, why is it so quiet? Perhaps it’s the heat of summer with all the uplifting global news, the slaughter that’s downplayed by calling it war.
Well, secession doesn’t require a large number of people, it does require us to take a hard look at our habits of living then a little struggle with inertia, which is my current hassle. This is the first summer that I don’t need to be concerned with job hunting. I do have other problems, however it feels very nice not to deal with the dysfunction of the wark place and the mechanical repetition.
As we talked about before, I think the problems of the 60’s commune movement and anything like it currently, is bringing an old mind set to a new situation, simply repeating same old, same old, like trying to evade one’s shadow.
Why ‘take to the woods’ with a dictator?
Posted by Joe of Maine from The Window on 07/22 at 04:46 PMThanks, Joe. I guess many of the readers here now see my stuff on Facebook and that’s why traffic is slowing. I dunno…
Anyway, a new post is now up. See you there.
