  1. Great comment Mickey...how anyone can become so stupid to minimize their life to just numbers without seeing the larger experience of life and also, not even see the human effort to create the ‘numbers’ parasites are so enamored by. Is this human nature...I have never accepted that lame explantion for warring, suffering, controlling others and the destruction of all things.

  3. ...and we’re reminded the war is in its 5th year. 5 years of terrorizing and destroying during this current war of many wars waged by the socio-paths our fine education system and religions helps to produce...and I receive emails daily calling for impeachment...and I feel sick.

War crimes like this planet has never seen, violence against americans like never before with minimal or no outrage. She has anger issues they might say, she should seek counseling. Those who cannot get angry at this point in time might seek counseling. Will the national guard, with their army tanks be used to monitor the soup lines?

  4. Let’s not forget that the war (sic) didn’t start (sic) five years ago. It started a few days after Iraq invaded Kuwait and the sanctions were imposed...and it never ended. That’s roughly 17 1/2 years of non-stop aggression.

  5. War is normalized, we apologize for any inconvenience to the millions slaughtered and suffering. We now return to our regular broadcast that will not mention the actions of war criminals.

  7. Has anyone heard from RMJ?

  8. Hi all...thanks for missin’ me, Mickey. Things have been stressful up here. I was on a flood watch on Friday night - out in the cold, dark, storm much of the night. I am OK, just getting too old to pull these all-nighters in the cold. Some water came in, but I was able to handle it.  ALSO, have gotten a nice new printer to replace the old Epson that died. I got an HP C5180. It was on sale for $79. Since it was installed I have gotten the blue screen of death twice - once when I wanted to load a couple of photos with a CD, and once when I just wanted to print a letter. I have talked to some tech people. They all say something different. I don’t have the money for my tech guy right now so everything is on hold. The computer is working fine, but I am not using the printer since the blue screen except for once. It worked fine. The problem is inconsistent. I don’t have much junk on my computer - except for about 20,000+ short e-mails - a few photos, no music or anything like that.  Any advice out there?

On the brighter side - that was great to see Mark Hand here yesterday. I hope he sticks around for awhile.
Also saw Cynthia McKinney on DN today. I really like her. Nader was great on tv yesterday. I’ve gotten a little hate mail from my Nader article. It makes me smile. They just said on the news that Hillary is really unifying the Republican Party.

  9. Hello RMJ...good to hear from you...don’t know what I’m talking about...a techie told me HP writes poor installation discs. Perhaps HP would prefer you call India and pay 50 bucks for phone tech support...which I did once, the printer still didn’t talk to the PC…

  10. ‘As a result, the developing world spends $13 on debt repayment for every $1 it receives in aid.’
I knew it was bad, Mickey, but not THAT bad!  Does the developing world have any hope?

Hello, Joe of Maine and Rosemarie (no advice from me, but since our last update our computer has been slowing down, although we are on broadband ...) from a not very warm but quite humid Daylesford.

    Ciao, Helga

File this under THE SYMPATHY CARD FROM THE BABY KILLERS IS IN THE MAIL…
    AP News
    Feb 03, 2008 22:50 EST
The U.S. military said Monday that it accidentally killed nine Iraqi civilians during an operation targeting al-Qaida in Iraq south of Baghdad....
The civilians were killed Saturday near Iskandariyah, 30 miles south of the Iraqi capital, U.S. Navy Lt. Patrick Evans told The Associated Press. Three more civilians were wounded and taken to U.S. military hospitals nearby, Evans said....
The incident and the events surrounding it are under investigation, Evans said.
“We offer our condolences to the families of those who were killed in this incident, and we mourn the loss of innocent civilian life,” Evans said in a statement e-mailed to the AP.

  12. Mourn? They have the nerve to use that word? As my main post sez: “The babies just come with the scenery.”

  14. My girlfriend and I went to see They Might Be Giants at the Beacon Theater this weekend. I’m still looking for the political significance in this one:

Note they don’t use the U.S.A. for “U”. My favorite is what they use for “W”.

It’s Super Tuesday today… I’m voting The People Who Hate People party across the board. By absentee ballot, of course.

Progressive Review had a link of Ann Coulter (Just mentioning her makes me all goose-steppy!) endorsing Hillary as more conservative than McCain.

Q: How many liberal excuses can dance on the head of a presidential candidate? (Answer available mid-2009)

  18. Yeah, Ann Coulter gives me goose steps, too. But I like her take on Billary.

  21. And hello to Robert B. Livingston, James, Zen Prole and Rosemarie, JOe of Maine and Mickey again - a day later.

Don’t know about you but I found this piece on commondreams quite infuriating:  so men have to prove their virility by joining the military.  I don’t have kids but if I had a son who thought he’d become more ‘manly’ by becoming a soldier, I’d think I have failed as a mother.

And I hope help is on the way for you, Rosemarie!

Take much care, all of you!
