  4. Your photos aren’t coming through so I’ll make a comment on the general tone of the last few posts.

    It’s not that Obama is the answer to anything or that he shouldn’t be attacked.

    It’s the way he’s thrown “the left” into a spasm of rage and inarticulate ranting.

    Dare I say “Obama Derangement Syndrome”.

    Yes, I’m echoing Michelle Malkin here and “Bush derangement syndrome” and yes it’s always difficult to find a way to criticize power without sounding like an inarticulate angry man on the street corner holding up a sign that says “the end is near”.

    But the striking thing about the “left” critique of Obama is that, er, there really is no “left” crtique.

    There are “leftists” parrotting Rush Limbaugh ("Obamamessiah" etc.)

    If you want me to donate to your site you’re really going to have to do better.

    Because this whole thing is about as pathetic as Nader’s .005% of the vote (nothing essentially if you count flipped voting machines).

    And yet you ARE “critiquing” Obama in exactly the same terms that Rush Limbaugh is.

    The problem with accusations of “cultism” is that they’re made about any insurgent movement inside the Democratic Party.

    Right after Gore won his Nobel Prize, Limbaugh came up with the term “Goracle”.

    They made the “cultist” accusations against Dean supporters.

    And now about Obama supporters.

    Personally, make the “strawman” accusations all you want, I see little evidence that there’s any more of a “cultist” mentality among Obama supporters then there is among Nader or Derrick Jensen fans.

    In fact, if you really want “cultism” that’s Derrick Jensen’s supporters. Here’s a guy who sits in Northern California raking in his book royalties while he’s pushing his young and naive followers to go out and risk jail.

    What’s Obama pushing his supporters to do?

    Oh yeah, vote and get involved in the Democratic process.

  9. I’d settle for NOF providing some evidence the left has been thrown into a “spasm of rage.” It’s overwhelmingly been just the opposite.

    Q: Does the avalanche of corporate cash Obama gathered affect “voting and getting involved in the Democratic (sic) process”? Are the principles of non-believers, aka The Hopeless, affected by this reality?

    Gotta love that Jensen barb about “raking in book royalties.” I’m sure he’s buying himself an island somewhere. As for young and naive, I’ll gladly take their mistakes over someone else’s lies.

    it reminded me of the bLIARs First election leaflet when he asked for a ‘more sane defence policy’ instead of asking for a ‘sane defence policy’

    never fails to crack me up that.

    So “Not an Obama fan” is *supposedly* not an Obama fan. Uh huh. Anybody believe that? I swear, the truth does hurt these delicate little Obama suckers. I know that during the campaign they couldn’t stand it when I kept talking about Obama’s Bush-accomplice voting record and his neocon rhetoric. They called me a “Rove troll” because they couldn’t stand to hear the truth.

    “Not an Obama fan” makes the claim that Mickey Z is *supposedly* “critiquing” Walk on Water Obama in exactly the same terms as Limbaugh. Really?

    Question: Why would anyone be wasting their time listening to Limbaugh in the first damn place to know or care what the fool is doing? Who cares what he says?!

    “Not an Obama fan”:  Your problem is that you don’t like the TRUTH. Typical. It conflicts with your Denial.

    By the way, when are you Obama suckers going to “hold his feet to the fire” as you talked about doing all during the campaign? He’s making the appointments NOW. Why aren’t you “holding his feet to the fire” now? Are you going to wait until AFTER the appointments are made before you “hold his feet to the fire?” Queen Hillary of the Borg Collective is NOT “change.” In fact, none of these recycled people are “change.” They are the pro-war, pro-corporate, pro-Bush status quo. You Obama suckers have been duped, once again. Don’t you feel like a damn fool?

    You should have paid more attention to the real change candidates: Nader/Gonzalez or Cynthia McKinney/Clemente. But you didn’t have the intelligence to do that.

    “His cabinet is enough to make me ill. I really dont know how to feel about him anymore. All the excitement I felt about him has been replace with disapointment. I dont know what to think now.”

    Guess we’ll be hearing a lot of that in the next four years.

You know, I won’t agree with everything Obama does and even though I *may* have had *some* problems with Cheney in the past, upon reflection, I really don’t think he’s been as bad as we thought he was. I think some of it was fabricated. He’s probably an okay guy and that’s why Obama is keeping him on. I trust Obama completely. I just feel it in him. I sense it from him when I see him. I know he’s doing what’s best for me and the country. You have to give him TIME.”
