Coming soon: My new novel, "Darker Shade of Green"

Posted by Mickey Z on 02/08 at 05:22 AM
  1. Hello Mickey. Trying to share your new book and 0 responses so far.

I’m not sure how I would feel about that. I don’t know what I’m going to do when I release my book, ‘Something for everyone’.

I’m becoming skeptical about anyone wanting to purchase a book that has 100 blank pages and just a 3 paragraph preface with no table of contents and no index. I might have the pages numbered so the reader can find their place easier. But, even that is excess.

The television that was given to us as a gift has been unappreciated for one week. I just put it on the local email network for free. I can’t wait to get this battleship out of the room. How’s this for a pitch, it does all the things TV’s do.

I tried to call the whole foods, organic valley and stoneyfield people to inquire about the alleged cave in to monsanto. The phones were too busy to reach a live human being to get their scoop on this. There’s too much artillery coming from too many directions these days.

  2. Not TV for me either, Joe. Very limited cell phone, for that matter. The only screen before which I waste too much time is this computer.

  3. Hi Mickey...Here’s what Rob Williams from the Vermont secession movement thinks about TV.  Rob is also a very nice musician.

  4. CONGRATULATIONS - AGAIN, Mickey....... I look forward to reading it!

Hi Joe… Your book would be very thought provoking. Sometimes a blank page is an inspiration - sometimes it is very intimidating - sometimes....

Joe...How’s your roof? That is the new greeting in my area, instead of asking, how are you.  Lots of roofs down. Lots of animals killed in the barns.  You can’t believe the run on roof rakes.  The stores are completely sold out and have hundreds of customers on waiting lists. During the summer I used to say that I needed a man with a chain saw. Now I need a man with a roof rake.

  5. Hello RMJ...our roof is okay, we have lots of snow. We just took a short ride to the end of the peninsula. The bay is glistening from the sun and bordered by the white of snow. Very pretty.

The local political news makes washington look sane. These small town, ‘peyton place’ politicians should be thrown in jail. They don’t know their job so they find childish ways of pissing away tax dollars and boast of the stupid accomplishments that just makes the town a bigger shit house.

An overindulged 6 year old in a candy store with daddy’s credit card would make more rational decisions.

Stay Warm. In my younger days, I never thought of throwing the line at a women, “I’ve got a great roof rake”. I probably would have had greater success with my decadent behavior.

  6. Joe...You are priceless!!!  You just gave me my biggest laugh so far this year.

Yes, I agree about small town politics.  The ol’ boys network is in charge of everything...and in New England, if you haven’t had family here for 16 generations, you’re an outsider, a ‘flatlander’...even if you came from Switzerland. The only exception is for Native Americans who have been here forever. They are often classified as outsiders and are still trying to be officially recognized by the State Legislature.

  7. I always enjoy a conversation between Joe and RMJ.

On that note, a new post is up. See you all there.
