  1. Cool interview, Mickey.  Thanks for posting.

I’m working part-time at Whole Foods these days, and I noticed they have these signs up called the ANDI score.  It’s something Furhman came up with.  It stands for Aggregate Nutrient Density Index.  So it’s a good way of telling just which foods are best for you.  I think it’s a decent idea.

  2. Thanks, Charles. Which Whole Foods?

  3. Nice interview, MZ. Sounds like Fuhrman’s on the right track.

Here Comes The Sun Dept: As I’d hoped, the hot weather here is suppressing my appetite - the long winter out west kept my metabolism in that cycle. I think I got a vitamin D deficiency, too, but that’s more easily remedied.

Hi Charles. You’ve given me the impulse to call my local Whole Foods to see if they’ve got any organic, cage-free union employees. Srsly, would love to hear more about work at WF.

  4. Hi everyone

What’s up. My summer is pretty much done now. I watched this Troma movie called Night of the Chicken Dead. There’s an extended sequence where chicken zombies in a fast food joint kill a bunch of people in methods similar to how the meat is done. It’s glorious and wickedly funny. Not for the faint hearted though.

One zombie is eating someone’s face and says to the onlooking husband, “I know I know, it’s fattening but I just love the skin.”

While I was on holiday recently, I ate in a temple and had vegan meals for the equivalent of one US dollar a time. It ruled.

Feel like I;m repeating myself, it;s late and memory is blurred.

  5. Good evening everyone, can’t sleep. It was 104 degrees at 5 pm. It doesn’t feel much cooler now and the humidity is too much.

This morning I listened to a 1972 tune, ‘Endless Enigma’ and the title feels very appropriate. I hadn’t heard this song since around 1972. In my opinion, one of Keith Emerson’s best compositions and I wasn’t a big fan of his music anyway. I think he was a very good keyboardist and I need something to fill my brain besides american wars and nothingness.

  6. Obama made a speech declaring the war in Iraq over. How can he lie like that?

  7. Hello all

Been doing family things for a while and struggling to keep my oar in at a few things at the same time.

Here is a good one tho....

I’m informed by people in the know that this idea is creating a bit of a storm in the conservation world.... http://bit.ly/aAlPuj
