    Back to last night, I think joe said that DU has been studied long enough. That is an important point. It is a common delaying tactic to “study” and appoint “commissions”. All the while it is being studied, DU will be used as a weapon.

    Fuck you: Good thing this isn’t a court of law.  You’d be charged with perjury for your fabrications, which are a complete mischaracterization of what Churchill said.  I read Chickens, did you?  I’ll presume if you did it was akin to the liberals who listen to the bile of the likes of Rush Limbaugh and Jerry Falwell.

    I read both Ward Churchill’s article and his followups to it. He writes approvingly of what calls the Sep 11 “combat teams” and, incredibly, notes that the terrorists who struck America probably showed restraint in limiting casualties. He clearly identifies with any group that wages war against Americans, as a shockingly misguided mis-identification with Native American causes.

    His analysis of al Qaeda, as far as I can tell, is that of a secular pan-Arab nationalistic response to American imperialism; he is perhaps the only person to think so. His historical analysis is piss poor: for example, his analysis of WWII Japanese behavior, swallowing Japanese propaganda of “Asia for the Asians” whole, would perhaps not be shared by the millions of Chinese who died at Japanese hands.

    Ward Churchill is, more precisely, a filthy, depraved, viciously unpleasant person who delighted in what he saw as a strike against American evil; the fact that this was achieved by having thousands die burning amidst twisted metal and rubble gives him a pleasure that he pretends is a grim acknowledgement of justice. Fuck him and fuck everyone who defends him.
