Underground music, hemp, and local food
I can’t vote for any of the articles. There’s no link for it. Is it just me?
I wish hemp clothing were less expensive. I’d love to replace my entire wardrobe with hemp. That’s one thing I’d splurge on if I came into money.
Also, I met Jesse Ventura at a book signing last weekend. Nice guy. We discussed global warming for a bit. He’s very passionately against the whole cap & trade scam.
Posted by Charles from Jersey City on 03/16 at 11:04 AMThanks, Charles. I just found out that they may ditch the whole voting thing. Oh well.
Posted by Mickey Z. from Astoria on 03/16 at 11:09 AMYeah, they’ve made site adjustments and the voting button is gone.
The PG journalist Rebecca hasn’t got her story up yet. I met her again though, someone on a course she teaches met me about another music article. Small world thing.
Talking of music, this Saturday I’m going to see a rockabilly act called Dead Elvis and His One Man Grave. Over from Holland.
Posted by Andy from Shanghai on 03/16 at 03:40 PMI took out the “please vote” lines from today’s post to reduce some clutter.
Posted by Mickey Z. from Astoria on 03/16 at 04:17 PMJust found out I’ll be doing a talk at the Barnes & Noble in Arlington, Virginia (just outside DC) on March 27. I could use some help spreading the word on such short notice. Who lives in DC or has comrades in the area?
Posted by Mickey Z. from Astoria on 03/16 at 04:41 PMI hope the Meetles will play on subway stations between 2 and 10 May 2010 - and I’ll see and hear them then. Thanks for this ‘musical’ post, Mickey! And I hope we’ll meet some time during the first week of May - for our very own book or music talk. Am seriously considering joining a guided tour of the Steinway factory in Astoria, Queens. There’s some music for you.
And hello, Charles and Andy from a very warm Daylesford.
Posted by Helga from Daylesford, Australia on 03/16 at 05:59 PMOkay, a new post is up. See you all there.
