  1. Great articles.  Can’t have enough Tyler Durden quotes, although I still think it was bogus that he was all in Ed Norton’s head.  That ending pisses me off to this day.

It’s got me thinking what other articles you could write around movies.  The Matrix, perhaps.  Transformers II.  When Harry Met Sally.  Alright, I’m rambling.

And now it’s time for me to get to bed.  To quote Sparrow from your poem: “Thank Nixon I’m an insomniac.”

  3. The first rule of Green club is you DO talk about about Green club.

  4. In retrospect, Andy, I probably should’ve made that point more clearly in the article.

  6. Hey Michael. Long time, no see. Thanks for the link. I really wish they would’ve included a sample of Saddam’s poetry.

My Moustache is like a dead dead mole

  9. Just saw David Zirin on MSNBC talking about how he wants to wash himself with “iron wool” after reading and observing the Tiger Woods coverage of the past few days.  He asked why we don’t instead ask about his advertising/marketing millions made with companies such as Nike who use sweatshops, etc...good stuff.  I know he has come up on your blog before, Mick.

  10. Hey JOS

I read Zirin all the time. He is the other writer (first being MZ) who I found at Znet then continued to read all the time. I’m not aware of his TV appearances, just his columns that he puts online at his Edge Of Sports site. I have his book Welcome To The Terrordome too.

Yeah, he is amazing. He did go a bit off track when Obomba was elected but is coming back to his best.

It’s good to have someone writing meaningfully about sports. I hate it that people and pundits always plug on about sports being just-sports when they have clearly been a battleground of issues through the years. If sports are not political, then what’s with the national anthems.

  11. I like Dave Zirin, too. Saw him talk in NYC a few years back.

Anyway, a new post is now up. See you there.
