Bye, Bye Ashcroft

  1. I think Clinton is still ahead of Bush in the death toll. Part of the immense loathing, mine anyway, comes from his inability to utter a coherent sentence.  I’ve got European email contacts/friends who are still in shock over what Clinton did to the former Yugoslavian countries and the Iraq sanctions were designed to be as cruel as possible. It’s just plain weird talking to people who defend him.

    That said, I am glad Ashcroft is stepping down and hope Bush’s handlers can’t find someone crazier, or more competent.

  2. Funny you should mention Bypass Bill. Tomorrow, I was planning to address all this “Bush is the worst president ever” nonsense by justaposing his record with that of Clinton.

    As for Ashcroft’s heir apparent...maybe Tom Ridge or Rudy Guiliani? Crazy enough for you?
