Yes, it would be wonderful to have a televised hug-in - but what I think we really need to do is create stronger healthier alternative communities - places where we support one another, create a safety net, and divorce ourselves as best we can from the dominant culture we live in. Why not develop vegan communities? We most likely can never “win” politically, but we can make things better for those of us who have chosen to drop out of the system. How to do it? Some would have to make enormous sacrifices but it sure would be better than everyone for themselves.

    experience’...before we know it...we will have football games without scores, hockey games without sticks...wrestling matches, without choke holds...we could have baseball games without a home plate......all to encourage unity, affection, caring, and everyone wins and no one loses...feeling ourselves through another.....
