marcos writes with incredible intensity and depth. i’ve noticed the influence of borges and neruda on his work, but he mantains a strikingly original voice in modern literature. it’s a near perfect balance of revolutionary politics and gorgeous poetic expression. personally, the only comparable feeling i get is listening to the clash.. also a combination of jubilation, anger, hope, and the thought of ‘this is so fucking cool’. i hope your endorsement brings more people to his work. thanks mickey.

Thank YOU, Marc...for a great post. I’ve just become aware of new book that I plan to read soon: “Let Fury Have the Hour: The Punk Rock Politics of Joe Strummer,” by Antonino D’Ambrosio.
