Thoughts for a Thursday...

  1. I’ve been meaning to buy one, thanks for the reminder grin

  2. Hey Mickey, don’t feel bad - My book has been hovering around the 500,000 mark, and it’s a collection of secular humanist Christmas stories so it doesn’t have much of a window for retail sales. I’ll buy another of yours if you’ll buy one of mine.

  3. Update - Man of my word, I just purchased another copy. I know someone who celebrates Armenian Christmas (Jan.6) and is going to receive a copy of Seven Deadly Spins. Now everybody else go purchase one and help get the info spread around - Mickey works hard on these books and digs up the facts that others would prefer stayed buried.

  4. Wow...I’m touched by the quick response. Rev. Joe, please send me the link to your book so I can hold up my end of the deal.

  5. Thanks Mickey! Here it is at Amazon:

    Let’s sell some books!

  6. It’s a done deal, Rev.

  7. I bought five a few weeks ago grin and I’ve given away three so far. Part of the sales hurdle you’re facing comes from cutting through spin “too deeply”. Moynihan, for example, is still held to be a saintly guy who did his best in trying circumstances. How could that eloquent orator be an enabler for genocidal thugs?

I haven’t lost any friends by giving away copies, which is a good thing, but then I concentrated on giving the copies to people who aren’t going to tell me I delight in making them miserable with bad news. I predict some of the people who bought the book aren’t going to be able to finish it.

  8. My own mother told me that “Spins” gave her nightmares. I love my Mom, but you know what? That’s the appropriate, necessary reaction. Most Americans could use something to keep them tossing and turning at night about the state of the planet.

On that cheerful note, I’ll say: Thanks for the support, Harry.
