  5. I like your article, Putting Descartes Before The Horse.  It’s been convenient to think lab animals can’t think, feel, or have any interests of their own. If they’re only machines, as Descartes tried to convince us, then there should be no objection to making them lab tools. But in the 21st century we know Descartes was wrong.
