On the Waco incident:
Bill Hicks (simulating the voice of ATF): “Yeah, we had to bust the compound ‘cuz we thought there was child molestation going on.”Bill: “Well if that’s the case, then why don’t we see Bradley tanks knocking down Catholic churches?”

Posted by Mickey Z. on from 04/07 at 09:43 PMThe Church’s warped attitude towards sex pretty much guarantees an endless stream of dysfunctional, emotionally disturbed men—of every orientation—seeking to become priests. Celibacy is not a virtue. Guilt ridden attempts at it cause more problems.
I suspect the celibacy requirement was originally mean to ensure the “second sons” of the aristocracy who went into the priesthood wouldn’t father children who could make a legal claim against the family estate.
