Texas Two-Step
Let’s hope they give her a room with tolerable roommates.
My father had to share a room with a constantly coughing, flatulant, alchoholic. The nurses had to serve him a beer every couple of hours because if he went cold turkey the shock to his system would be too much to bear while getting chemo for his lung cancer. It’s sad, I know...but true.
Posted by James on from Puerto Rico 05/26 at 10:39 AMThe good news is that my Mom is not confined to bed. She’s home, hanging with Michele and I, anxiously waiting for the surgeons to get their act together.
Posted by Mickey Z. on from Texas 05/26 at 11:55 AMMickey, I am sorry to hear that your Mom is still dealing with the anticipation of the surgery. What a stress for all of you! By my experience, the medical delivery system in the US, is very bad. I bet that we all have medical horror stories to tell. Hopefully, your Mom will be taken care of very soon. I am sure that your being with her is the best medicine that she could have now.
Posted by rosemarie on from 05/26 at 12:58 PMHang in there, folks. You’re doing all right as long as the surgeon isn’t the constantly coughing, flatulent alchoholic.
