  3. The more I think about it, the more I think that the Russian Astrologist might have a point.  What right does NASA have to destroy comets and cause huge explosions in space?  Who knows what effects it might have, astrological or otherwise...the next thing you know, they’ll have pissed offed some aliens and started a real war of the worlds....or maybe I have just been watching too many movies.

  4. You’re not the only one watching movies, James...NASA named the damn thing “Deep Impact.” Then there’s the $330 million price tag. Shit, James Cameron could make almost two movies for that kind of green.

  5. You are a very silly man. “then came Spielberg, I mean, Jurassic.” ;)

Anyways. Speaking of Comets. This is an interesting new blog with a few posts on the subject.

Be sure to scroll down to his War of the Worlds posting, he brings up an interesting theory regarding Orson’s old broadcast.

    Peace,

  6. Thanks, Luna. Silly is good...and it’s often misinterpreted here.

As for Welles, that IS an interesting theory...but I ain’t buying. It’s hard to imagine the powers behind him supporting a movie so critical of a capitalist giant and if he had such support, why did his career go into immediate decline? But, as always, who the hell knows?

  7. I’m all for silly, good fun for the soul. smile

Wells was a very smart man. Maybe he was attempting to cheat the devil and got himself burned?
