Boxes, boxes, boxes
HAPPY NEW HOME WISHES TO YOU AND MICHELE !
Things weren’t the same here without you, Mickey.I’ll just pass this on again. This afternoon at 1:30 Harry Belafonte will be on C-span. It is a rebroadcast of a talk I heard during the night. It is really worth watching and recording. He talks about one possible solution to the mess we are in...the unification with others in South America, Africa, etc.
Posted by RMJ on from Churchill 4 Prez Hdqts 04/01 at 09:34 AMCongrats on getting moved in. And good luck on getting everything in order.
One of my articles was picked up last week by RINF Alternative News (I’d never heard of them, but that’s cool, I’m just happy to see my stuff spread around). It’s entitled “9/11 and the Pakistan Connection”:
Posted by Jeremy on from Taiwan 04/01 at 09:43 AMCongratulations so far, Mickey… and hey, good news, when you get settled in and can post more often, I’ll be freed up to comment more during the day, because I lost my job yesterday. Hurray! I should throw another party and make enough food for thirty people or something crazy like that.
And here’s another good one from Toothepastefordinner.com to put things in persepective:
Posted by James on from Hell's Kitchen 04/01 at 10:20 AMHey all,
The Mews have just had a year with 4 moves for various members of the clan, and its bloody hard work. At least it was just down the road.“I think, to a great degree, that which governs us is really the extent to which we are permitted by the forces of power in this country to do what it is we can do to make a difference.” Belafonte (on Colin Powell)
Obvious yes, but apparently not to that many.Posted by Mew on from mates house 04/01 at 11:24 AMGoogle celebrating today:

Posted by JOS on from Chicago 04/01 at 04:38 PMCongratulations, Mickey. I am sure that you are ahead of me. I moved 21 years ago, was working and on call 24/7 then. I never did get completely unpacked. I still have some boxes that I need to look into. I guess that if I didn’t need whatever is in those boxes in 21 years, they must not be important.
Jeremy, that is a great article. You really did a lot of research.
James, sorry about the job. Are you going to be OK?
Mew, great quote. Harry also says in reference to those of us who are in solidarity with Venezuela. Bush criticizes that. Harry says not to let the “Oppressor” tell you who your friends should be.
Hi, JOS.
Anyone here who would like to join the conversation about Immigration at PressAction, take a look over there now.Posted by RMJ on from Churchill 4 Prez Hdqts 04/01 at 06:12 PMgood luck in the new place.

Posted by michael on from exile 04/01 at 09:31 PMThanks for all the good wishes. Congrats to Jeremy, re: his article getting picked up. James: Sorry to hear you’ll be back on the job search. And hello to everyone else.
I must admit, it’s been a good break from the Web and blogging. Much needed. I may post something later today and then haphazardly throughout the week. I’ll just get back in the groove when we leave for a week in Texas to see my family. I’d say things won’t be back to “normal” around here till late April. Maybe it’s time to change the way I do things here anyway. Any thoughts?
Posted by Mickey Z. on from Astoria 04/02 at 11:24 AMsounds like you could use a break, Mick. I suggest taking it easy for a month and then decide what direction you want to take things.
