Links, Inc.
amy goodman = benchmark
fantasticmy link of the day...to borrow mickeys phrase “shameless self promotion alert”
i have a new review up (its a review so its not really SELF promotion. you could do with watching the thing i reviewed too, its hilarious… the url for it is at the bottom of the review.
oh, mickey, sorry but comments on previous reviews (i.e. reviews of your books) had to be taken off because they were all getting 100 spams in the comments per day.
Posted by michael on from exile 04/12 at 07:13 AMlinks, fousands of the bleeders: http://tinyurl.com/syjjp
Breezy and sunny today here, a day for some serious mooching around writing, playing music, drinking tea and exchanging weird information. Have fun all.
Posted by owen on from barcelona 04/12 at 08:05 AMFrom last night, I think it was Jack Rabbit who said, “American troops are in 130 nations. Bush is the commander in chief of the U.S. armed forces. Can Bush name the 130 countries into which troops are deployed? Can he tell the public what they are doing there? If not how is he able to perform his job as commander in chief?”
A while back I contacted all of my men in Washington and asked how many prisoners we are holding in prisons around the world and also the locations of those prisons. Not one of my representatives could answer that question. Proof that this is NOT a country that has much respect for the democratic process, if EVEN those in charge are kept out of the loop.Is today the anniversary of the failed CIA coup in Venezuela?
About Katie vs Amy...Katie is no Walter Cronkite but Katie does a good job of what she does, showing leg, thinking-in-the-box, contributing to the dumbing down of the populace, and bowing to the business community. Amy does a good job at what she does, working for peace and justice around the globe.
Posted by RMJ on from Churchill 4 Prez Hdqts 04/12 at 08:49 AMType the following words into Google:
Stupid - 3rd link
Incompetent - 1st and 4th links
Idiot - 2nd linkI was trying to remember which word you type to find:
http://www.whitehouse.gov/president/gwbbio.html
...but I couldn’t remember. The above were the first three I tried, and although I didn’t get the desired result, the outcome was slightly ironic anyhow…
Posted by Jeremy on from Taiwan 04/12 at 09:25 AMAh Jeremy, that incompetent link made me laugh. Under Bush’s Medicare plan they, ah, didn’t expect people to try and get their prescriptions covered by the gov? Gee, I’m only a simple Englishman and I do believe that might have occurred to me. Perhaps I’m
some kind of Medicare genius that’s been hiding his light too long? I must have rare powers.Posted by Chris Wood on from Manchester, odd wet lovely Manchester 04/12 at 09:51 AMSome more shameless self-promotion (cheers to michael, my shameless-self-promoting buddy)!

I guess that doesn’t constitute a “mystery” link, but, then, they aren’t mystery links anymore anyhow. Heck, I figure I’ve been coming around here for a while, I might as well give my Expendable friends a glimpse of what I do in my spare time.BTW, I’m a master at the bongos. You should see my mouse clicking away! Good fun. And speaking of monkeys, I don’t remember who posted MONK-E-MAIL not long ago, but I had some good fun with that for a long time writing to my brothers back home.
Posted by Jeremy on from Taiwan 04/12 at 11:17 AMPosted over at Stangoff.com, great piece about “the race for the stars”.

Waiting for the Easter Bunny ..
Posted by Helga Fremlin on from Daylesford, Australia 04/12 at 01:34 PMInteresting link re Charlie Sheen and 9/11 theories, Jeremy but .. I don’t quite believe that BushCo. could have pulled that off.
And good definition of Couric v. Goodman, Rosemarie!

Posted by JOS on from Chicago 04/12 at 04:51 PMGreetings to all. I wish I did, but lately I don’t have time for more substantive links than this one here. While flooded with music to write, I’m keeping current with Democracy Now in the mornings. Wondering what would happen if more people were taking in just that one hour a day. Good things, I s’pose.
Posted by Keir on from The Hague 04/12 at 05:08 PMPS: here’s something related to the link about Ms. Rice the decidedly non-honkey tonk piano player over at BagNews.
‘s good.
Posted by Keir on from The Hague 04/12 at 05:17 PMLong day here (I’ll provide some details soon) and once again, I’ve missed out on the comment board fun. Thanks, all...see you tomorrow.
Posted by Mickey Z. on from Astoria 04/12 at 09:12 PMHi Helga. Thanks for visiting the site. Just to clarify, the point of that particular article wasn’t to say that BushCo pulled off 9/11 (the article never suggests this). The point was to address how reasonable and serious questions about 9/11 that are deserving of answers are met in the mainstream media with scorn and contempt.
Posted by Jeremy on from Taiwan 04/12 at 09:20 PMGood times and good links here, everybody… I’m off to work for the next 12 hours at least. Wish me luck… Proofreading in a law firm across the street from the WTC, so I’ll enjoy the sights from my window at least. Good night! Thanks again for that graveyard shift post, Mickey, looks like it brought me just what I needed.
