The Dukes of URL for May Day
The Neil Young link was worth the price of admission alone, dude-- can’t wait til the album’s released. Looks like he’s neither burning out nor fading away.
My link-- and they call ME the Cat Lady:
Great to see you the other night, of course. Didn’t get to type here yesterday, but Happy Birthday again and I’m glad you had such a great day in the sunny weather. Um… captcha= “hell”. What’s up with that?
Posted by James on from Hell's Kitchen 05/01 at 05:28 AMI guess everybody is out protesting…
Posted by JOS on from Chicago 05/01 at 12:03 PMIf only, JOS. It’s great to see a protest actually scheduled for a non-weekend but I’m afraid we need something closer to what just happened in France.
Hey James. Thanks for the link. What is it about cats that inspire people to collect them in unmanageable numbers?
Posted by Mickey Z. on from Astoria 05/01 at 01:43 PMAnd a Happy May Day to you, Mickey - and to you, James and JOS! That day is now needed more than ever, methinks ..
Now I’ll click on the mystery link regarding the death of an Aboriginal teenager.
Ciao,
HelgaPosted by Helga Fremlin on from Daylesford, Australia 05/01 at 04:37 PMShe was a bad example all around, with the witchcraft and the smoking… caring for her cancer-ridden mom and smoking with her and the cats in that place!
Sure is a nice day in here, though. Makes it so hard to get anything done inside.
Posted by James on from Hell's Kitchen 05/01 at 04:38 PMSweet, I get to hear your voice today Mickey.
Posted by Fiona on from San Diego 05/01 at 06:00 PMThanks, Fiona. I’d love to hear what you think.
Hi Helga.
Posted by Mickey Z. on from Astoria 05/01 at 06:40 PMGreetings, all.
If you haven’t seen it yet, Stephen Colbert’s “roast” of Bush at the annual correspondents dinner was priceless. I’ve never heard so little applause for such excellent satire. As Steve Martin said, “Comedy is not pretty.” Watch a clip or read the transcript, you will enjoy it.
Posted by Cart on from near Warshington DC 05/01 at 06:49 PMYou’re right, Cart. It’s excruciating to watch how stunned/confused the audience seems to be:
