Penises, pesticides, prayers, & petroleum prices

Posted by Mickey Z on 05/04 at 04:38 AM
  1. A mummified penis… Would that qualify as a “stiffy”? It’s fantastic that the pharoah’s phallus has been found. There’s nothing more disturbing than a royal cock gone missing.

Christians praying for lower gas prices… Holy oil, batman! I wonder if God hears prayers for petrolium. Maybe God can change the law of supply and demand. Or maybe the Creator can just create us up some more black gold in the ground for us. I wonder if I pray hard enough if the Almighty will give me a BMW to fill up with all that cheap gasoline. What would Jesus say?

  2. praying to the oil gods - that is one of the more bizarre things i have seen lately.

wow - mickey, is that your first translation? and who did it?

  3. lol...a stiffy.  Excellent, Jeremy.

Yeah, Mick, nothing like a strong fear of a small penis to help turn this whole pollution problem around real quick.

Judging from all of the spam I get selling enlargers...perhaps we are already seeing the effects world-wide.

  4. sort of off topic but i suppose it could apply to those jesus for oil people

  5. Hello JOS, Jeremy, and Michael. Nearly 80 degress in NYC today. Anyway, I’d have thought that a good dick joke might have provoked a larger crowd here today. Oh well…

As for translations, this is my third. Both Saving Private Power and <A Gigantic Mistake</i> are available in Italian, too. What Jerry Lewis is to France, I am to Italy.

  6. Mickey Z: The Nutty Progressive?  Throw in some soda bottle glasses and buck teeth and off you go!

Check out the tone of this Washington Post article about Morales nationalizing the gas industry.  It’s a shame those silly Bolivians don’t know what’s good for them.

  9. The Nutty Progressive? You’re a genius, Cart. I just may have a new persona.

  10. I’ll cackle like a mad witch when Thaaaatch’s deal with Satan comes to its satisfying conclusion. You’re right though Michael, the necromythologisers (real-word, honest) will be even more unbearable than when Reagan snuffed it.
    Going to see this tomorrow.
That is one big ####-off wooden elephant. The puppet people look really scary though.

  12. ‘Grazie’ for this post, Mickey!  I heard about those Christians praying for lower gas prices before - now if the same people could pray for peace and could tell God to tell George W. Bush to refrain from further wars, that would be great.

And as always, ‘hi’ to Jeremy, Michael, JOS, Cart and Mew from a very wet Daylesford.  ‘Fine’ weather was forecast yesterday but it did not eventuate.  Still - we need the rain.

    Ciao amici,
    Helga

  13. That WashPo article about Bolivia is incredible, Cart!  And hasn’t the writer forgotten something: the Mossadegh government in Iran which was overthrown because they nationalised the oil industry?  Who ended up the loser there?

Whoowee!  Now that sure puts Al-Zarqawi in his place!  The only thing funnier than that would be A drunken Vice-President shooting a wealthy Texas lawyer in the face!

Wake me up when someone reports some news.
