Thanks, all. Your sincerity is inspiring, Mudge.

RMJ: It actually rained on our wedding day but that made it more interesting. We have tons of photos of our family holding umbrellas over Michele, myself, and the justice of the peace.

Anyway, it’s raining today again. We’re headed out now to have some fun...and I don’t have time to fix whatever ails my eMac. However, maybe someone out there can help. Here’s the deal:

When I went to the page where I create my blog post for the day, I clicked on “find file” as always to upload images. Twice, this gave me the infamous spinning ball for a LONG time. I tried to force-quit Safari and it didn’t respond so I had to force-restart. The whole process took forever. Very slow responses.

Then I went to Entourage to send out an article but when I clicked on “add attachments,” the same thing happened. Spinning ball of death, no response to force-quit, and this time, the computer wouldn’t restart so I had to manually shut it down.

Overall, I think the computer is acting a little sluggish but nothing I would’ve mentioned had the above events not happened.

Any thoughts?

Mickey, for starters: backup your work! Then, try not to think about it until tomorrow, and enjoy today. Computer-free days rule!

Congrats from me too, Michele and Mickey! I second the advice to back up your work and I emailed some troubleshooting tips. You’ll need a good firewire drive. I’ll look around and email you on that too.

Re those technical difficulties: I have been experiencing email difficulties for the last 24 hours or so - have to get on to our provider.

Oh, and my computer has been very slow generally in the last few days or so, so it may be a worldwide problem, Mickey.

Also, thanks for the computer help (got your e-mail, Mr. Scruggs). I’m taking Keir’s advice and not dealing with it today. But I will note that I regularly back up all my work on flash drives.

Here’s an anniversary haiku I just came up with:

Hello all. Thanks again from the kind wishes.

I broke my promise and tried to fix the computer. I just got off the phone with Apple Care. They wanted me to restart off the installer disk but guess what? I can’t find mine. So, they’re mailing me a new one and then I’ll call back. It’ll be fixed next week so I’ll try to make posts here using images I’ve previously used. This way I won’t have to try any uploads.

Oh well...thanks again to all the Expendables.

OK,,,, who are you becouse I live with the REAL Mickey Z. Her name is regestered becouse she was A very good skate boarder till her health got real bad. She even had Mickey Z boards put out and was sponcered by Pepsi. so who ever you are,,,,,,, check it out and then you might understand why this has Pi**ed me off.
