Kissing Kissinger's keister & recognizing Rocky's religion

  1. What? Did you sleep in or something?!

Sounds like Sylvester’s got some issues...looking to god to overcome your past is like looking at the fridge to overcome yesterday’s lunch.

I’ve been busy trying to read up on all I’ve missed, and I just have to say that the Great Sewage is enormously disturbing.  It was only a month or so ago that it was ‘discovered’ that an entire urban community in Toronto had all their sewage going straight into the lake untreated. It’s been fixed.  Now why haven’t we done the same with EVERY other place this is happening?!

    Good morning everyone!

  2. Good morning, Empress. As Sly might say: Yo.

And yes, Sunday allows me to” sleep in.” When you typically rise somewhere between 4:45 and 5:00 a.m., anything near 7:00 is late.

Glad to have you back. You’ve been missed. How’s the weather up north? We’re finally starting to feel a little wintry around here?

  3. Oh it’s nipply here alright.  Dusting of snow the last couple of mornings, it is December it’s just the warming planet’s had me complacent with all the recent mild weather.

I was kidding about the sleeping in....I was just confounded at having arrived here before you after missing as much as I have over the past weeks.

  4. Heh, heh...you said “nipply.”

P.S. I’ve added a few hyperlinks to the original post.

  5. Most honest line of the Kissenger article so far:

“Kissinger’s advice to Bush and Cheney, says Woodward, was “very soothing. That’s why they talked to him. It’s all part of the refusal to face reality. If you go back to the Nixon tapes, he’s a flatterer.” “

By way of flattery, he makes war?

  6. The Monty Python Henry Kissinger Song....

    Henry Kissinger
    How I’m missing yer
You’re the Doctor of my dreams
With your crinkly hair and your glassy stare
    And your machiavellian schemes
I know they say that you are very vain
And short and fat and pushy but at least you’re not insane
    Henry Kissinger
    How I’m missing yer
    And wishing you were here

    Henry Kissinger
    How I’m missing yer
You’re so chubby and so neat
With your funny clothes and your squishy nose
    You’re like a German parakeet
All right so people say that you don’t care
But you’ve got nicer legs than Hitler
    And bigger tits than Cher
    Henry Kissinger
    How I’m missing yer
    And wishing you were here

  8. Kissenger’s ability to “work a room” would not amount to much if the room wasn’t full of journalists, political allies, business cronies, security personnel and other various assholes and sycophants. I’d like to see him try “working a room” full of his victims.

  10. sometimes i get a bit homesick over here… its the attitude of people at home i miss more than anything sometimes… that is properly summed up by this little snippet…

Bono is at a U2 concert in Glasgow when he asks the audience for some quiet. Then in the silence, he starts to slowly clap his hands. Holding the audience in total silence, he says softly and seriously into the microphone …

“Every time I clap my hands, a child in Africa dies……”

A voice from near the front pierces the silence: “Well, fucken’ stop doin’ it then!”

  11. Nice and crisp here today.

I can’t wait to see Rocky VI. I’ve alway liked boxing movies even though I don’t follow boxing that much. I already saw the best watching Ali when I was a kid. I lost interest when boxing went pay-per-view.

Bono’s clapping show just proves that throwing money at a problem doesn’t make it go away. Society has to give a shit and frankly most people don’t.

    Peace!

  12. Reason #34,968-- Hitchens’ shift from stuff like that Kissinger book to his current hawk stance… world’s so damn frustrating and hard to keep track of more and more, ugh…

  14. Somebody tell Bonot a child dies in Africa for every buck he spends on those dumbass glasses.

The other day I linked to this menu of what will be served to more-christian-than-thou George Bush for Christmas. Wonder how many starving people that meal would feed. How about a a little push to get the war criminal-in-chief to fast for the holidays? That’s be fun.

  15. I think a child dies in Africa for every murderous world/corporate leader’s ass Bono kisses.

And Keir, that menu is definitely reason #34,970.

  16. In a previous article you had Saddam and Ford as murderers, they were both amatures compared to this stinking piece of CRAP, h.kissinger.He should have been hung 50 years ago minimum.Throw all of our israeli occupied Government and their Negro helpers (slaves!) into the mix and the only one of any substance,i.e.,character,integrety,honor is Saddam Hussein.
