Whatever it is, I'm against it
Free Lyrics to anyone who wants them
“The Lobbyists”
Gonna kick your assets out’a D.C.
Don’t want no lobbyists writin’ laws to govern me
You’re a gang of money-grubbing no good hacks
Just flooding Congress with your dirty greenbacks…We’re gonna take our country back today
We’ll drive you from the land, you won’t have a say
You’ll be gone forever, No one will mourn,
A new land is here waitin’ to be bornPosted by RMJ on from Churchill 4 Prez Hdqts 06/16 at 08:49 AMIt’s a sunny late spring day in MA. Midweek felt like March, so this is good.
YouTube has a ton of early music videos and I’ve been sorting through them. Am I that old? Probably…
“Stand or Fall” is from The Fixx’ 1982 release ‘Shuttered Room.’ A recurring myth is that 80’s pop was trivial. This isn’t.
Crying parents tell their children
If you survive don’t do as we did
A son exclaims there’ll be nothing to do to
Her daughter says she’ll be dead with you
While foreign affairs are screwing us rotten
Line morale has hit rock bottom
Dying embers stand forgotten
Talks of peace were being troddenStand or fall state your peace tonight
Stand or fall state your peace tonightIs this the value of our existence
Should we proclaim with such persistence
Our destiny relies on conscience
Red or blue what’s the differenceStand or fall state your peace tonight
Stand or fall state your peace tonightAn empty face reflects extinction
Ugly scars divide the nation
Desecrate the population
There will be no exaltation(I can’t find the original video, but the audio is here: http://tinyurl.com/ywourx )
Posted by zenprole on from Urth 06/16 at 09:08 AMGood Morning, yes, zenprole..2..the weather in coastal Maine is beautiful today also. Went to the river early this morning, fish jumping, Cormorants diving for fish, the river bank lined with Great Blue Heron, Osprey hovering over the water looking for fish.
Well, I don’t have any lyrics at this time. I can recommend 2 performing artists that are on my mind.
Last Leviathan, sung by Sheena Wellington
Darkness into Light, music of John Tavener, sung by Anonymous 4
I think either of the above music would stop a war!
Posted by joe of maine on from 06/16 at 09:37 AMThe Ramones said it best, I think…
Well I’m against it
I’m against it
Well I’m against it
I’m against it
I don’t like politics
I don’t like communists
I don’t like games and fun
I don’t like anyone
And I’m against…
I don’t like Jesus freaks
I don’t like circus geeks
I don’t like summer and spring
I don’t like anything
I don’t like sex and drugs
I don’t like waterbugs
I don’t care about poverty
All I care about is me
And I’m against…
I don’t like playing ping pong
I don’t like the Viet Cong
I don’t like Burger King
I don’t like anything
And I’m against…
Well I’m against it
I’m against itPosted by Buddhamonkeydevil on from USofA 06/16 at 10:08 AMi am just having a laugh today…

Ev’rybody wants the same thing, don’t they ?
Ev’rybody wants a happy end
They wanna see the game on saturday
They wanna be somebody’s friend
Ev’rybody wanna work for a living
They wanna keep their children warm
Ev’rybody wants to be forgiven
They want a shelter from the storm
Look at me, I ain’t your enemy
We walk on common ground
We don’t need to fight each other
What we need, what we need
Solidarity, SolidartyNobody likes to ask for money
Nobody likes to play the clown
Nobody likes to wait in a long line
Nobody likes being pushed around
Ev’rybody want their family protected
They wanna express themselves
Ev’rybody want to live forever
Look at me, I ain’t your enemy
Don’t believe ev’rything you hear
This is no time to fight each other
What we need, what we need
Solidarity, Solidarty…Black Uhuru

How about a little “Post Secret” for Father’s Day?
http://postsecret.blogspot.comPosted by Mickey Z. on from Astoria 06/17 at 08:12 AMGood Morning...Father always said, “prosecuting a war criminal a day, keeps the predators away”.
Where the hell did fathers day come from, anyway? What’s the origins?
Posted by joe of maine on from 06/17 at 09:15 AMHi joe...I like what your Father always said. My Father always said, “The Revolution is coming.” That was back in the 50s and no one believed him. But “Father knows best”. My Father was just a little before his time.
JOS...How’s your day going? We send you good vibes to carry on.
Mickey...hummm, trying to think of a secret…
Mew, robert, michael, Buddha, Zen, Helga and all… if you want to join in the conversation about health care, etc here’s a link for you.
