  3. Hello Expendables. Michael, I hadn’t seen that link. Thanks.

  4. Fat people in denial of killing Bees with capitlist enterprises...well...after a brief conversation, here at work, that is consistent with health problems, individuals lying to themselves and others, and devastation of all creatures on this planet...my question is...do we really know when to NOT comply with corporate american...when not to buy the latest gadget because everyone else is and how will I get along in this world if I do not have...a computer, a dvd player, and Ipod, an MPG player, the latest Transmission-Line Loudspeakers with 1/8 Order Crossover Network, the latest plasma TV...when do we simply say...I want my humanity and no more toys......I will remove the ring from my nose and no longer enable large marketing firms to drag me around, telling me when to use my credit card, telling what to buy and how often I should undate my operating system to the one that allows more viruses to support the anit-virus software companies, etc., and on and on...when do we say we really support life and not how it’s defined by corporations, corrupt politicians, backwards ceo’s and a buying public that will jump at anything that comes in front of their face as a small child does in wonder of everything new.

Computers have created some wonderful experiences and have enabled communications that might not be possible otherwise and as quickly...I have yet to speak to my neighbor next door that requires me to get off my skinny ass and go say hello...I will have to walk 60 feet!

We cannot ask for change while perpetuating this madness we want relief from. One must be selective you say, discrete, keep things in perspective, balance...you’re right, I want humanity without all the Electro>Magnetic pollution and without the programming that goes into human’s that make them flesh covered computers that purchase plastic covered computers, Ipods, Iphones, IBrains, IAssholes, IAndroids, etc., Calling toys of capitalism, technology is another line of crap. The puppeting of the entire planet...Pinochio...stay wood! BULL!

  5. Hi Mickey, michael, and all…

joe #4...I love the comments there. You said it more eloquently than Ted Kaczynski, and you didn’t kill anyone in the process.  I have never owned a cell phone. In fact, I was the last in the neighborhood to part with my old dial phone, the last to get a color TV, the last to get a microwave oven (I only have one because it was a gift), and even the last to get an electric coffee maker (another gift). I use a push mower on over an acre of land am probably the only Vermonter who does not own a chain saw and weed wacker. I also do not have a snowblower even though I have a 200 ft drainage ditch that has to be shoveled every day when there is any drifting or falling snow.  They all call me a “dinosaur” in these parts.
captcha word is “material”...I guess that I am definately not a “material girl”.

  6. i take it you have all seen that there has just been a terrorist attack in my town.

in true glasgow style a member of the public went up and knocked the guy out!

  7. RMJ...You don’t own a weed-wacker...a digitized weekwacker that has a computerized reservoir that automatically sprays Round-UP...on the weeds you just wacked, thereby killing them forever and 19 lifetimes, along with everything else within a 1 square mile area?...well...Guantanomo for you!

It’s our birthright to purchase and own week-wackers. If we are to be good citizens, we would buy a new weed-wacker every year, when wal-mart puts them on sale, along with their 75 lb. tin cans of stale pretzel sticks, and their oldies country music cd sales...buy 2 for the price of 7.

I don’t own a damn thing and it’s still too much!

  8. joe...I own a hand saw. I bought it at the dollar store for one buck. You are fulfilling Thoreau’s legacy. I think that he said that we should not become a captive of our possessions.

michael...I have it on in the background. That is the ONLY thing that has been on for hours. On FOX they are using it to justify “the global war on terror”.  They are now saying that another attack will surely come and that we should all be in a state of fear.

I have been getting some communications about the protest in Kennebunkport tomorrow. A large number of protesters are expected. I will not be going even though it would be an opportunity to see the ocean. One good thing might come of it. If there is a lot of Press coverage, maybe the people will see the summer home of the Bushes - a reminder of the unequal distribution of wealth in the usa.

  9. they are saying the same stuff here.

no one actually seems to have been hurt apart from the guys who did it.

  10. Well if King Anthony the Bliar can’t protest us, if the Texan Chicken Sodomist can’t protect us...then we better sharpen our week-wackers and prepare to go it alone.

The disgusting arrogance of that elder criminal, that he can have the entire coast guard for his protection...I wonder what really goes down at his summer home...why the meeting is really being held there???

  11. Welcome back to New York, Cool Observer!  I hope that apart from those ‘interminable delays’ at airports, your holiday was a success.

I’m back from Melbourne, where it is always a few degrees warmer than in Daylesford, but will be in Melbourne again on Thursday.

When it comes to ‘Fat Americans’, fat Australians do not seem to be far behind.  Not that I can talk, being overweight myself ..

Hello, Michael, Joe of Maine and Rosemarie.  Here’s hoping that you all have a reasonably good weekend wherever you are.

  12. Rosemarie #5:  definitely not a ‘material girl’ but a very feisty (and industrious) one!

  15. The newest British Prime-Time Minister was quoted in reference to a possible “terrorist attack”.. He said: “I know that the British people will stand together, united, resolute and strong.”

Now can someone tell me what he means? Did he say this between rounds of 50 cocktails?

  16. michael #13… I love the poem that you link to. Thanks.

Helga...Did you ever tell us why you travel so often? (or is it none of our business). I’m just curious. I think I envy your life style.

joe...What’s happening in Kinney-bunker-port? I have been working outside and have not heard any news. I was enthralled with the air and sky and cloud formations today - beautiful. I also had the first couple of ripe blackberries right off the vine. They are especially appreciated because I did not plant them. They were planted by Mother Nature.

Hey Mickey, What’s happening down your way today?

  17. Gorgeous weather today, RMJ. I’m not doing muc to enjoy it though. Mostly errands. But I am meeting soon with someone about a job. I need to earn more money and try something new. More as it develops…

  18. thanks rmj

that poem for anyone else who wants to see it…

A SHORT AND SIMPLISTIC POEM BY MICHAEL ROSEN.

    DEAR NEW LABOUR

If you go into other people’s countries
    and bomb them
    they will bomb you.

You can call them what you like
You can tell us that our cause is noble
You can tell us that they’re evil and we are good

    But the rule remains:

If you go into other people’s countries
    and bomb them
    they will bomb you.

You can tell us that you’ve flushed out the troublemakers
You can tell us that you’ve neutralised the flashpoints
You can tell us that you’ve sown the seeds of the future

    But the rule remains:

If you go into other people’s countries
    and bomb them
    they will bomb you.

  19. Mickey...Good luck with the job pro$pect. I’m sure that all Expendables are sending you good vibe$ right about now.

Thanks, michael. Another title for the poem, “The Rule”.

  20. Hi RMJ....you said: “I was enthralled with the air and sky and cloud formations today - beautiful. I also had the first couple of ripe blackberries right off the vine. They are especially appreciated because I did not plant them. They were planted by Mother Nature.”

You had you mind in the correct place...bush and putin won’t do anything other than screw up ‘Mother Nature’

I read another horrifying report on the complete irresponsible use of Depleted Uranium and testing done By Lawrence Livermore National Labs, who are apparently nuking Northern California with aerial testing of D.P...???

And I sit here working for some dumb white man who doesn’t even know he’s propping up this Neanderthal economic political system, void of any human or life responsibility...!

Posted by joe of maine  on  from 07/01  at  04:05 PM
  21. joe...is that aerial testing going on now? I missed it if it has been in the news recently. I know that the government/military/corpocracy has used us all as test animals for a long time.

And yes, we have all worked for dumb white men at some point....survival today at the cost of tomorrow. Did I ever tell you that I worked for GE and United Technologies, 2 of the worse offenders. I guess that I have a lot of Penance to do.

  22. RMJ..21..This was another article by Leuren Moret, who, you might remember did a 20 page report on DP and many shorter articles.

This article I mentioned is dated December 2006, apparently LLNL has been testing consistently, maybe that might explain unusual flu’s, viruses, etc., of recent times???

Yeah, GE brings good things to death in King of Prussia, PA where they have/had a very large center...Where the Berrigan brother visited in 1980, whenever, trying to expose a certain missile that GE denied making, storing...I don’t remember those details.

  23. Joe of Maine #14:  Good morning/night to you - it is 10:32 am on a Monday morning, so would be 8:32 pm on a Sunday night in your neck of the woods. And I hope you had a lovely weekend, too.

Rosemarie #16:  I travel to Melbourne (where we lived until June 2004 and which is only 120 kms away) only if I have to buy certain things, like books, or if we want to go to a concert.  My mother-in-law still lives there, and so does the rest of the Fremlins.  The only overseas trip in the last almost 3 1/2 years was to New Zealand and for the next 4 years we have to limit ourselves to travelling in Australia - but only if we have the cash!  We have cut up all our credit cards, so actually have to save - what a novel concept ..

LOVE the poem by Michael Rosen, michael from scotland.

We have quite good weather in Daylesford today - after a few stormy and wet days, the sun has come out, and there is almost no wind.

    Ciao,
    Helga
