My Confession
Very Nice Poem Mickey...I thought...I simply want to be, to be able to be.
It’s great waking at 5:30am and seeing Deer in the backyard, a Raccoon with 4 young babies, my friend rescuing 5 young Phoebe’s that fell from their nest.
This is fulfilling for me.Posted by joe of maine on from 06/16 at 05:49 AMConfession? Yesterday was Father’s Day. I haven’t seen mine for 25 years, and have never lost a minute of sleep about it. On the other hand, trying to live with damage he did makes me lethargic. Factoring in the much larger and more compelling madness we live in, some mornings I measure out my remaining shards of clarity like bus fare, for the daily station-hop away from the end of the line.
Going to the Rush show last night kept my mind off this for a few minutes. “Begin the day with a friendly voice, a companion unobtrusive...”
Good to see traffic way up these last few posts. Loved that funny vid about the No vote in Ireland.

“Go ahead, make my tofu....Punk.”Mike Meyers from Letterman last night is worth a look. He always mentions his working class origins, but toss in a Maple Leafs jersey and security at the Ritz in Paris, and it was exceptional. There must be clips at the website.
