Cool to see me on Planet Green. Now I know how long it takes from writing to publication. Good article. You provided links that even I hadn’t seen.
That poem is really telling. As Ice Cube said in Boyz N Da Hood: “Either they don’t know, don’t show, or don’t care about what’s going on in the hood.”
Posted by Charles from Jersey City on 11/07 at 09:57 PMThanks, Charles. This particular post took longer to go live because they waited to keep it more holiday relevant. Sometimes I write a post and it’s up within a day. You never know. Either way, thanks again for your help.

Posted by Zen Prole from Pac NW on 11/08 at 03:25 PMHello Zen and Andy. I just spent a few hours in Central Park in 65-degree weather. It was like my staycation post come alive: jammed with happy humans, musicians, magicians, jugglers, roller disco, and The Meetles.
Zen: My first ever concert was in 1972 at the Nassau Coliseum: The
Kinks and the Beach Boys...with the Kinks as warm-up act.Posted by Mickey Z. from Astoria on 11/08 at 05:04 PMLOVE the aerial view there - but then, I love all your posts, Mickey. Same for the comments by various expendables.
Back from Melbourne where I saw ‘Julie & Julia’ (can’t really recommend this film to vegans, but I liked it a lot) and Woody Allen’s latest ‘Whatever Works’ - 88 minutes and many laughs. This is his funniest film in quite a while.
It is warming up: 88F today and tomorrow, so best to stay inside and keep cool.
Ciao, Helga
