Sorry I can’t add much to a discussion of Fabio.
I can however highly recommend a film I saw this week . . . Human Nature. Quote (from a scientist character who tries to teach mice table manners): “Remember, when in doubt, don’t ever do what you really want to do.”

I guess that I would change it to say, “When in doubt, never do what the other guy wants you to.” (But then, things are a little worse up here than they are in some other places.) This morning on C-span there was a discussion among the experts about the fairness of the Saddam Hussein trial. The question was asked whether it would be better to be tried like Saddam was, or have a trial in the usa if you were accused of a crime. The answer given by the legal experts was it depends on who you were and where in the usa the trial was to be held.

Our minds are going in the same direction this morning. As you were posting that comment, I was writing a little article titled, “Why I Won’t Concede”. I plan to do what I want to do even though it is not acceptable behavior in the world of politics.

It was very cold. My hands will be numb all night. I was thinking about things at Mickey’s all the time I was there with the cold wind howling around me. Thinking about Fabio really got to me. On a cuteness scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the best, I would say that Ward Churchill is a 9, and Fabio is less than zero....but then what would I know. When I was a kid, I had Einstein’s picture hanging up on my bedroom wall because I thought he was cute.

Dissident Voice ran my most recent article! And I received the most wonderful compliment from one of the other sites you suggested I submit to. I was told that my “work online is significant and well known.” I certainly had no idea it was “well known” (and must admit a bit of skepticism as to the accuracy of the comment). Thanks again for your encouragement.

The answer to the question is “Yes,” this man would most certainly have been sent to Guantanamo as a most seditious and pernicious man. He would certainly fall foul of the patriot act. Then Tom hated all governments no matter what their colour. I agree with him. He was right then and he is right now.
