Human Traffic Skills
this is a poignant passage and reminds me of a conversation with a friend yesterday
just a cynical midnight thought to end the day
I think this society promotes turning ones head away from the suffering and pain that is either across many oceans or even right in front of us...so much so that “we” don’t even want to say hello to a postman, make eye contact with a stranger or give money to a homeless person unless he singing or smiling.or not the least bit scary)..no one wants to be imposed on long enough to have to “stop” and think about what is really going on because then we might have to actually think about doing something to make change..Posted by michele on from astoria 08/21 at 11:58 PM
