June has been much better than May

  1. I’m still around. I often drift towards the edge of the party to think about what I’ve heard. It may be kind of silly, too, but the idea of you in Texas left me a little bemused grin

I’m glad the Mac Guy got your router problem sorted. That had me baffled.

  2. Hey Mickey, I’m not a “regular” but I’m still here.  Best of luck to your mom with the operation.

  3. Good. On through the woods and into a speedy recovery from surgery. The good news you’ve heard so far must be helpful to your mother’s state of mind and yours; so glad to know it.

  5. We missed your (what sometimes seems to be) 24 hour/7 day a week presence here in the comments section!

I caught that post your secrets blog in the times yesterday as well, the only article I actually read most of the way through.

that 9/11 one is pretty sad…

  6. Thanks, James. That 24 hour/7day presence goes a long way in explaining the tendonitis in my mousing hand and my need habit of increasing font sizes.

  7. You’re back!  ...you’re leaving!!
Glad to hear the news that things are going fairly well.  WE didn’t go anywhere, haha

Texas...I dunno.  Someday I might have to go there, but it won’t be by choice.  That’s awful, isn’t it?  I’m sure there are a great many wonderful people there.....and I know you Mom is one of them.  Best wishes.  Later.

  8. The funny thing is that where my parents live (The Woodlands), every supermarket has a GIANT organic, natural foods section and many of the restaurants have vegan options.

Good living only gets mocked by pundits when poor people advocate it.
