Let's see how many visitors Shakira lures to the site today
morning/afternoon everyone
the tsunami has sort of been forgotten about, as has the http://pakistan earthquake
also, when you wrote grand central station for a moment i thought you had written “glasgow central station”
also, the bLIAR has announced when he intends to stand down… and this is the video of this or any other day/week/year about him. please watch, you will laugh a lot..Posted by michael on from scotland 05/10 at 08:09 AMGood Morning Michael From Scotland...I hope someone, lot’s of people are asking, demanding the prosecution of Blair. Who is Shakira? People, both men and women have told me I have [had] a nice butt. Very sexist! I personally didn’t mind if someone liked my butt...prosecute Blair for war crimes, humanitarian crimes and general criminal behavior.
Posted by Joe of Maine on from 05/10 at 09:43 AMi agree joe
off to vets with dog, she had a squirrel hunting injury and can’t walk.
Posted by michael on from scotland 05/10 at 09:48 AMThanks Michael, but you’ve never seen my butt. Give the puppy a hug for me.
Posted by Joe of Maine on from 05/10 at 09:57 AMthanks joe
and in case anyone misinterprets the above comment, i don’t get her to hunt squirrels, she just chases them (she is after all, a dog) but they are too fast and she never catches them anyway
Posted by michael on from scotland 05/10 at 10:04 AMI didn’t think you hunted squirrels, I couldn’t understand how you knew what my butt looked like.
Prosecute Pelosi as an accomplice to the war making machine!Posted by joe of maine on from 05/10 at 10:48 AMHello Expendables...from an overcast, humid Astoria. If I didn’t know better, I’d think Michael and Joe were rehearsing a Vaudeville act.
I laughed at the Blair video but it makes me nervous. Over-the-top characters like Bush and Blair make their replacements look sane by comparison. (Look at Bloomberg replacing Guiliani in NYC.) They get a free pass to continue the high crimes and misdemeanors as long as they say all the right things in public.

Have a good day all!
Posted by Robert B. Livingston on from San Francisco, California 05/10 at 11:12 AMHi michael, JOe, and Robert. Hi Mickey, I agree with you there about saying all the right things. Sometimes it seems more about looking and sounding good than doing the right thing at the right time. Ive been reading some bad news about the states cracking down on immigrants. A new bill is slated to be passed this week. I think the long and short of it is: passing funds to indivual states to build holding camps for ilegal immigrants, bounties, etc. Pelosi and co. are taking bush to task for underfunding homeland security, which must play into this scheme…
anyway....
heres my musical antidote to shakira

delightfully warm and sunny here fish jumping, eagles soaring and all thatPosted by frances on from bc 05/10 at 02:54 PMGood Morning Frances...well...we have gone from genocide to butts to sex, war criminals on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean...we have gone everywhere except into the future...what might that be like? I’m sure we’ll take butts and sex into the future. We can throw the war criminals into the Atlantic Ocean after we force feed them 500 lbs. of american made cigarettes each. I think self-sufficient, small communities is good...a balance as Thomas Berry speaks of and understands well..."We have a moral sense of suicide, homicide, and genocide, but no moral sense of biocide or geocide, the killing of the life systems themselves and even the killing of the Earth.”
Posted by Joe of maine on from 05/10 at 04:18 PMJoe, remember-- Destroying the Earth is harder than you may have been led to believe:
Posted by James on from work 05/10 at 04:24 PMI think self-sufficent small communities is an execellent idea, Joe. As is pitching the war criminals to the sea wolves....
Interdependance and self reliance will be an absolute necessity once the gold rush is over and done with.
I was reading about the bees...seems organic apiaries are not losing bees. But the organic honey does carry traces of GM whatever. Commercial bees are bred to be larger and fed anti biotics and force fed and over worked and suffer from lice. (hhhhmmmm...so do fish farms). They have managed to turn the most delightful and happy workers on the planet into slaves....thankfully the bees are having none of it. It is time to wake up people (I am yelling this to my sleepy self as well) and stop being slavishly devoted to whatever is keeping you down.Posted by Frances on from bc 05/10 at 04:42 PMHi James, right on and thanks for saying that.
Posted by frances on from bc 05/10 at 04:45 PMHi Robert and Mickey…
frances...the immigration issue is one of my favorite topics. I have been following it closely for a long time. Here’s a link to my views on it.
http://tinyurl.com/e9ny5About the bees and birds...or birds and bees… my house has been under attack since the weather warmed up. Birds building nests on my porch rafters. I love birds, but not their droppings. Carpenter bees are drilling holes in my house.
Hi joe and James...I think that the planet will survive very well as soon as all humans become extinct.
Michael...I wish that I could borrow your dog. The last time that a squirrel walked across the electric wires, it cost me $100 in computer repairs. (Yes, I have a surge protector but they don’t help in a case like this. I had an unhealthy shut-down.) I have woodchucks the size of small horses here. They need to be challenged to find a better place to live. (I love animals, but have you ever seen how much damage a hungry woodchuck can do to the wiring of a car?)
Posted by RMJ on from Churchill 4 Prez Hdqts 05/10 at 04:57 PMI don’t need Shakira to be ‘lured’ to your great blog, Mickey! It is my first (or second) stop on my daily Internet ‘surf tours’.
And ‘hi’ from a sunny Daylesford to Michael (Glasgow Central Station looks impressive), Joe of Maine, Robert B. Livingston, frances, James and Rosemarie. As for my butt, I can’t remember any favourable comments, but nothing critical either. My legs, on the other hand, attracted positive comments but that was years and years ago.
And calling Blair the bLIAR - hilarious, Michael. Why can I never think of something like that?
Have a good afternoon/morning.
Posted by Helga Fremlin on from Daylesford, Australia 05/10 at 06:55 PMWell...there is some thinking that it is quite a natural part of the universe evolution for a planet, such as earth to become a ‘dead’ planet. Not supporting life as we know it...no longer. And then another planet becomes life supporting, possibly there are already...then on and on this evolution continues, while there are many other intertwining evolutions, smaller and larger...what pisses me off is to think some 9 year old, red neck, chicken fucker from texas can accelerate a death of a planet or part of its many life forms.
Posted by joe of maine on from 05/10 at 07:00 PMI hear you Joe. The theory that there may be another planet that can support life as we know it is a dangerous one. It has the potential to make caring for this one obsolete or secondary. What makes us think we would do any better caring for a new planet anyways? buy and throw away, buy and throw away…
What gets me is this need to profit from every crisis that comes along. Someone gets rich and the problems dont get fixed. I was listening to an idiot on the radio detailing his economic strategy to ‘combat’ global warming...$ to be made, reports to be filed....
Everything has gone and is going so horribly wrong...and yet its beautiful outside my window and in the streets. I am asking myself if there is any point in knowing and learning all that is wrong if I am not willing/able to do something about it. I know I am rambling here but I feel soooo stuck and frustrated and angry. I dont enjoy what beauty and life there is all around me because my thoughts are about war and du and all the injustices and stupidity. what good does thinking about any of this do? where is it real, for me? Maybe I am in research mode, once the children are supporting themselves then I can do more. Until then I will just keep reading and figuring out a strategy of my own. And working on this petition...for all the good it may or may not do....
Well there is some locally grown produce showing up on the shelves but its 2 or 3 times more expensive than what is shipped from china or asia or mexico or washington. I just dont get how this crummy world of people works anymore.
thanks for reading.Posted by frances on from bc 05/10 at 08:30 PM
