Mind Control: Breakfast of Champions
Good morning Mickey...first, I like Robert Livingston’s poem of last evening…
In my opinion, everything is upside down and inside out...life is false...centered around lies and behavior not fit for human consumption...oh yes, with the short amount of time, they say make the best of it. Read ‘good’ books, fore we must be careful with how much more horseshit we allow into our minds. Do things that are manual so we can feel our hands, ourselves. It is said we must be careful about how much we talk since their is too much space talk filling our conscious with nonsense while repressing our real knowing.
So...I asked the question to a group of activists...if the wars were miraculously ended tomorrow, what would we do? Is everything ok, here in america and it’s only the war you feel must be stopped. Our training by wrong information and wrong experiences have us completely shutdown...intellectually, emotionally, physically shutdown for the most part.
Too many lies and erroneous information to sort out...to translate...too much time spent doing this. What kind of change from the crap can be expedited? What can we do as individuals to help ourselves remove the toxins absorbed in our bodies from this sick society? I’m referring to the toxic information not meant for human consumption, not just poisons absorbed through our skin, our eyes, ears, digestive system.
There are approaches to stop feeding acids and becoming more alkaline, not feeding dis-ease in our bodies and mind. How do we learn about these things if we do not talk to each other. Richard Hoggart stated, if we do not speak about our common, most basic human feelings, creating a feeling of fellowship, without all the neurotic, negative undercurrents, anything else said is simply noise.
Part of the propaganda is also not knowing oneself to know to speak, to know the correct questions to ask, to have the courage to ask, to reveal oneself...that most people feel lends themselves too vulnerable...fear is part of the propaganda program...and we cannot reveal our fear for appearing small, inadequate, incapable of dealing with life’s circumstances...images, false images...anything but who we are...always guessing, trying to BE the lies, which there are too many of them...so fragmentation makes us neurotic and also not for human consumption.

My question is this: what active means are being used to offset Bernays’ brainchild? “Educate and organize,” while a cornerstone of longer-term efforts, is like sending biplanes up against jet aircraft. “Frankenfood” was a successful use of language in the anti-GMO effort, but otherwise it’s been very quiet on this front. Anti-corporate voices can make effective use of satire and comedy, but those are second-order uses of language and culture. Postmodernism is unintelligible. What has blocked the emergence of practical opposition to corporate propaganda on its own intellectual turf?

The biggest propagandizer in the usa is the government controlled educational system. The US history and the global view that is taught in public schools is one of the roots of the problem.Condo Rice says that Iraq cannot expel Blackwater. We want to own everything except ourselves...well, we must stop buying and only out of necessity. I own very few things. This is measured by what most other people own, I have little and yet, I’ve said this before, I occasionally want to get rid of this stuff. Fewer diversions from my inner rumblings that seldom frighten me to listen to.
I don’t want the latest, greatest in my consciousness, I want to savior an apple and remember this experience in the greatest details...not eating an apple while typing this sentence...internal divisions. I guess I can’t type and blink my eyes at the same time...forgetting to breathe...yes, I want to own myself and clear the clutter form home and mind.
RMJ...I agree with you, the government with its institutes of horrors, I feel must be substituted with real information which is happening too slowly by word of mouth, like Zen mentioned, bi-planes v.s. jets...well then, perhaps we need to talk more frequently and we shall define what freedom of speech and education is...as we have been doing.
Another big problem, also, I feel is the work place. These little forts we report to everyday. The microcosm of the central, unethical, insensitive government, where people are afraid to confront their source of income, their food...also no communication about anything real to build upon. Well, we’ll just have to talk more to compensate for this problem as well. I too am impatient for huge changes.

joe, if talking will help save children’s lives, I will talk constantly.
If communicating will bring world peace, I will communicate endlessly.
If creating a feeling of fellowship will bring understanding to the world, I will love all of my fellow men.
If creating feelings of empathy will deter suffering, I will be super empathetic.
If going to meetings will help spread the truth, I will attend every meeting.
But none of these things are effective. All of them have been tried over and over again.
Words, speeches, and fellowship are enjoyable but none of them will bring about change. Only actions will. I have often found these people to be down right silly...if someone told me I was going to hell or Washington D.C. for stealing a pencil, my roaring laughter would scare them into some sort of temptation.

Also, THEY’RE BACK. Blackwater killers are back on the streets in Iraq in spite of Iraqi protests. Seems that the government of the usa says that it is in charge of the laws in Iraq. How’s that for a perfect example of oppression without representation? The least that we could do is to allow the Iraqis to vote in OUR elections - no more of the purple finger scam.

I returned home from the Farmers Market in the Park.
People were buying, walking, spending time with their very young children...I thought, this appears leisurely...in other places people are being terrorized, bombed, killed, I didn’t feel well. Though everyone appeared relaxed, their body language said something else, something isn’t right.
I saw many long faces when there wasn’t a war.
I had 3 high school buddies that by chance, were stationed together in Nam. All 3 were in the same fire fight, Rick flipped out, without holding his rifle, he stood up and began cursing in the direction of fire. Rick was not touched, the other 2 buddies were both hit. Larry caught 3 in no vital areas. Larry is about as peaceful as you can get.
Confusion, not knowing up from down, these people found themselves in a killing be killed situation. I can understand why some soldiers might swallow a muzzle.
Some people inch their way through life, making decisions without much information or clarity, certainty, then things become very complex, foggy, caught in this dichotomy, they move forward slowly, with still less understanding… caught in fire......

It was a small group, possibly 30 people denouncing war. The opposition across the street was 1 Elderly Woman with a sign, support the troops, with her boom box setting on her car.
I observed this division, happy to see more people against the current war regime. I didn’t know the woman across the street or her story, her life story. The division in this case was sad to witness, while I was talking about the ratio of war years between Hitler and the U.S. Propaganda as a political tool as well as a well of doing business, a way people relating to people in general...objectified, feelings repressed as we’re told by the authorities.
How sad, how deranged and violent, truth being suppressed, truth about our human condition at the molecular level not prevailing.
I felt more alive while sharing my food with Basil the black dog, who was with one of the protesers.
