  1. Hi Mickey,

    Can you provide some sources that prove direct U.S. involvement in the Haitian coup, as opposed to implicit support? The only direct involvement I know of what ferrying Aristide out of the country, with French and Canadian support, but has proof emerged of their direct backing of the coup leaders?

  2. In this comment, I was mocking hypocritical U.S. complaints about the anti-democratic nature of Lavalas and Arisitide...but for more on the coup, check Bill Blum’s “Rogue State” or “Killing Hope.”
