  3. Ditto from this solidarity dittohead, MZ.  Our objective is much too important to not give all ideas their appropriate serious consideration.  The hope of our future lies in our ability to become stronger freethinkers.  And freethinkers treat all ideas as potential candidates for further development and followthrough.

  4. P.S.  Since I raised the flag of freethinkers…

“Freethinkers are those who are willing to use their minds without prejudice and without fearing to understand things that clash with their own customs, privileges, or beliefs. This state of mind is not common, but it is essential for right thinking;” - Leo Nikolaevich Tolstoy

    Sunday, April 25, 2004
Big, regional jails are popular in other parts of the country, but Cuyahoga County cities prefer to run their own, often tiny lockups.

Number of police department jails in Cleveland and its suburbs: 47

    Capacity: 700 prisoners

Capacity of the county jail: 1,075

Number of guards in the city jails: 371

Smallest city jail: Bratenahl, with room for one prisoner.

Biggest: Bedford Heights, with room for 119.

Cost of running the 40 suburban jails: almost $11 million a year

Cost of running Cleveland’s seven jails: Unknown. City officials could not come up with the total.

Number of Cleveland jail cells: 149

What Cleveland spends to feed prisoners: $663,000 a year

What it spends on medical care: $1 million

  6. Not sur eof your point, William...but I’d like to think you’re saying they can’t imprison everyone.
