Return of the Mystery Links
‘Circuit City to cut more than 3,500 jobs’...That’s what happens when neo-liberal economic principles insist on having ‘flexible labor market.’ Alan Greenspan couldn’t be happier, according to him, this is so good for the economy!
Cheers.

Let us frolic in my totally dope blanket fort.
Note to Fraternity Brothers in Michigan:
I thought a woman masterbating on your couch would be every college frat boy’s dream.
Posted by JOS on from Oak Park 03/31 at 09:54 AMSo much cool stuff to check out, but I’m off to this protest at MSG bout animal cruelty at Ringling Brothers… but um, isn’t Joe Lieberman supposed to be part of the political party opposed to President Bush? Or is he Independent or Republican now. Figure it out later…
Posted by James on from Hell's Kitchen 03/31 at 09:59 AMI think Lieberman is part of the system that states some people will always take orders from someone else. I think he is part of a system that has poverty as an inherent component. I think he is part of a charade that hints some people are being represented by other people...the sytem for the wealthy by the wealthy enforced by the wealthy. New paradigm does not require any of the old notions as represented by other examples. What might be needed, and by Lieberman is to examine our fear and comfort thresholds, find source of fear, look right at it...disappears.
Posted by Joe of Maine on from 03/31 at 10:28 AMhow many planets would we need if everyone lived like me and you?
http://tinyurl.com/33w9nuPosted by frances on from bc 03/31 at 10:56 AMFrances from BC...please explain your question about how many planets we need...first, how many planets are we already aware of, how many more are out there that are not yet know by scientists, the defense department, etc...(-:
Posted by Joe of Maine on from 03/31 at 11:30 AMHello Expendables...from a sunny Astoria. Ah yes, the mystery links never fail to gets things going. I took the test Frances provided and scored lower than the average for Americans. I feel so superior...but what else is new?
As for planets, let’s start the discussion with Uranus (sorry, couldn’t resist).

Hi Ehtesham, JOS, James, Joe, frances, sk, and Mickey
sk #8...thanks for the link. That is one of my favorite topics. There is no question about the fact that the usa is guilty of war crimes and so are all of those who remain silent.
About the big campaign for everyone to change all of their light bulbs, it seems a little suspicious to me. I have changed some of mine but I beleive that the problem with mercury might be a bigger problem than is now recognized. I have heard that some companies will no longer be making the conventional type of bulbs in a couple of years. Could it be that this is just one more devious capitalistic plot? Maybe Haliburton will get the contract to clean up all of the mercury- laden landfills. I also have some doubts about ethanol, as a solution to all of our problems. I wonder how much Monsanto will rake in on that deal. I like wind mills and would like to see them on every mountain ridge up here. I know that there are some problems with the lubricants that they use but it seems to me to be the lesser of the evils.
About protests, I think that Wall Street should be ground zero, and the protests should not be on week-ends. It would send quite a message to shut the market down, even if for just one day.
Posted by RMJ on from Churchill 4 Prez Hdqts 03/31 at 02:19 PMA good link about Blackwater.
Posted by RMJ on from Churchill 4 Prez Hdqts 03/31 at 02:53 PMQuestion everyone...does anyone shop over the internet? If so, how often?
Posted by Joe of Maine on from 03/31 at 04:51 PMApparently I’m ecological but not very happy about it.
JOS, I just bought an ever-so ecological remote control helicopter on the net. Not sure if that means you can disregard the above sentence. I buy my comics online too.
Posted by Mew on from Uncle's Joe 03/31 at 05:07 PMI think you mistook Joe for me, mew, but that helicopter sounds like fun. I used to buy my books exclusively through the Net, Joe...I think it’s a pretty easy way to do things, but I like handling them and reading them right away, so I stopped.
Posted by JOS on from Oak Park 03/31 at 06:51 PMThe conversation over at Goff’s site continues. An interesting response to me, basically consisting of an appeal to authority, a strawman, and an irrelevancy.

Oops. Too much beer last night, JOS ;) What was the purpose of the question Joe, if you don’t mind my asking?
