Top Ten Ways Democrats Differ from Republicans

Posted by Mickey Z on 02/13 at 07:21 AM
  1. Hi Mickey from a cold, wet, icy, gray, slushy, flooding New England.

Actually, sometimes they tell the same lies and it is hard to tell them apart.

  2. I only just saw this-- but I want the world to know WHO is defferent-- and so exceptional that it shines through everything she says and does:

    I adore her!

    Please, please! watch the video:

  3. It was a nasty day here, too, RMJ.

Thanks for the video, Robert. I really hope Cynthia McKinney gets attention for her Green run. If only they would let her or Ralph debate. I’d love watch either of them dismantle Obama’s “change” bullshit.

  4. Robert, I can’t watch videos on my computer but if that one is about Cynthia I am sure that it is great.  Recently I saw her on a program. What a difference between her and the other candidates. Ralph and Cynthia could straighten this screwed up country out! Mickey is right. They should open up the debates. The dems/repubs can’t stand the truth, and neither can the people who vote for them.

  5. Hi, Mickey, Rosemary and Robert B. Livingston.  You are coming down quite hard on the Dems, Mickey!!  No ‘lesser-evil person’ there .. Still - I can see where you are coming from.

Here in Daylesford it blew a gale again last night, and when one gets up, one feels like putting the heating on although according to the calendar it is still summer.  Quite a while ago, I read that one consequence of global warming is more stormy weather.  That is one piece of news I can confirm.

    Look after yourselves!

  6. Hello again. Is anyone having trouble with this page loading slowly? I am.

  7. MZ: shouldn’t that list go to eleven? http://tinyurl.com/2p5xvh

I’d like to turn the spotlight on Down Under, where PM Rudd has done something unimaginable to most Americans: apologized to the indigenous people. Of course, policy won’t reflect true remorse (reparations and autonomy come to mind, and perhaps a few prison sentences) but a symbolic act like this is generations away for America, if it ever happens. (I was also stunned when I first learned of First Nations Day in Canada.) On watching the video of Rudd in parliament, there were some bits of former PM Howard, who refused to attend. What a bodgy wowser he is.

While checking Aussie slang (so as to impress Helga a little) I learned that to ‘barrack’ is to cheer on. The motivational speaker of our presidential candidates carries that name. Life imitates slang.

  8. Dead on, Zen: “motivational speaker.” No wonder Oprah loves him.

Speaking of love, I plan to continue with my new pace and post a V-Day message tomorrow. You know, the day when Hallmark guilts us all into buying pieces of folded cardboard to prove we’re true romantics.

P.S.: Anyone having issues with this page loading slowly?

  9. Mickey-- occasionally I have trouble with my firefox browser after viewing Google or youtube videos.  What seems to happen is that the video sites continue to “send data” or stay connected even after the video has been watched.  I hope the Cynthia McKinney video hasn’t spawned this.

I use Linux which can monitor and handle the situation quickly.  I kill my Firefox and reopen it.  The sloppiness may be due to a Firefox weakness, or possibly a problem with Google or Youtube.

If you cannot kill the process easily, reboot your computer.  See if that helps.

I am watching Google carefully because I do not trust it:  Gore is a senior advisor to them-- and it is a powerful corporate hard-ball player.  It’s motto is Do No Evil....
[need stick figures, one getting kicked in the balls]

RMJ-- in the video, McKinney breaks into tears because she believes she hurt her father by asking questions about 9/11.

I have so many thoughts racing through my mind-- we have entered a time when push really comes to shove-- Greens are flaking out all over, people are fasting for impeachment (Conyers keeps his door closed)... Senate extends FISA (Obama and Clinton absent on vote)...  war plans are ratcheting up…

Nader needs to come to the rescue… but how?

I believe he must support McKinney.

  10. Thanks, Robert. At first, I thought it could be my browser...but I’m not sure. Just in case, I’m slowly reducing the number of images I use.

    Btw, new post is up.
