A little Groucho for your late summer Sunday

But first:

Noam Chomsky sez: “It is the fundamental duty of the citizen to resist and to restrain the violence of the state. Those who choose to disregard this responsibility can justly be accused of complicity in war crimes, which is itself designated as ‘a crime under international law’ in the principles of the Charter of Nuremberg.”

Okay, Groucho...do your thing:

Whatever it is, I’m against it

Event Alert:

The folks at BuzzerThirty have asked me to participate in a reading at Waltz-Astoria Café on:

Thursday, September 11
8:00 pm

Also scheduled to appear:
Singer-songwriter Val Turner
Poet Eliot Katz

The date is 9/11 but the event is not directly related. However, when I was asked, the request came with this proviso: “I figured you might offer an interesting perspective on the anniversary.” (So much for me reading a perverted excerpt from my novel, huh?)

Note: My presentation will not be the same as in my recent talks

Please save the date and/or spread the word far and wide
