Mission Accomplished

Emma Goldman sez:
If I can’t dance, it’s not my revolution.

With dear Emma in mind...I offer a break from the mind-numbing procession of human criminality. Here are some images and details from Sunday’s successful Karaoke for a Kause.

The Belle of the Ball

Our Gracious Hosts: The Quays Irish Pub in Astoria
(As seen in the 1993 film, A Bronx Tale.)

Michele with my Grandma Helen...she’ll be 94 in January. When Grandma arrived and saw some graybeards nursing a brew and watching football at the bar, she commented: “Oh good, there are some old geezers here for me.”

Show me the money

As of this writing...we’ve raised close to $5000. It’s safe to say that by early 2006, Michele’s school will have themselves a “Standing Dani.”

Peyton rolls into the house using the same type of equipment we were raising money to buy. He and his cousin sang “Happy Birthday” to Michele.

As Dubya might say: Mission Accomplished.

Yo, Michele...we did it!

Thank you to everyone who sent money and/or good vibes.

We now return to our regularly scheduled conversation about war crimes, etc...
