"Outside the Ballot Box" Report
A powerful event. Mark Hand and Nancy Ryan put together a stimulating evening which included some excellent vegan desserts and an interesting mix of speakers...not to mention, the audience was lively, intelligent, passionate, and engaged throughout. Even those who came in wearing Kerry/Edwards buttons appeared to have been influenced by what they heard. On top of that, the event was filmed for C-Span Book TV...so stay tuned for info on when it will be aired.
Besides spending quality time with Mark and Nancy, Michele and I got a chance to see Bill Blum again and finally meet Tom Wheeler, editor of Alternative Press Review. It was a pleasure to meet Elaine Cassel and Mark Andersen...and I wish I could name everyone I got a chance to talk with but, well...I just got home after a loooooooong drive. I do, however, want to thank my aunt and uncle for being there.
It’s back to the grind now...no rest for the weary, as they say.
