Solidarity with Cindy Sheehan, the dogs of war, and who's Hustling who?

Brief MUST-SEE video of Cindy Sheehan:

How far can this go?

(pass it on)

Cindy Sheehan says:
“I have to wonder for the rest of my life if the gun which took Casey’s life was sold to Saddam by the US or by Britain. We sold him weapons and were once his friend — we made him… We need to get our troops out of Iraq. The only reason Bush wants to stay there is because his buddies are getting rich and feasting off the blood of our children.”

Were these dogs drafted (’cause I’m sure they didn’t enlist)?

Do the Hustle?

As some of you may know, I was a featured speaker at a Press Action event that was subsequently telecast on C-Span’s Book TV last fall: http://www.pressaction.com/news/weblog/ballotbox.

Shortly after appearing on TV, I was unexpectedly contacted by Hustler Magazine. They wanted to publish a transcribed version of my decidedly radical talk. Always eager to reach a new audience (and get paid for my work), I agreed...and the piece appeared in mid 2005.

Call me naïve, but I didn’t give the situation much thought (and didn’t even see the issue my talk appeared in) until I learned that a new website (http://www.hustlingtheleft.com) was denouncing me—along with Noam Chomsky, Greg Palast, Helen Caldicott, Amy Goodman, and others—for allowing our work to appear in Hustler.

In addition, I was recently asked to appear on KPFK radio to discuss all this. I had to work and couldn’t do it...but I asked for a rain check. So, for now, I thought I’d make this post and get your input and feedback.
(Be gentle, RT.)
