The company Bono keeps

So, it seems U2 front man (and future pope?) Bono has taken offense at Italy’s Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi using his picture to tout the achievements of the current Italian regime. The caption for Bono’s image read: “The Irish star is grateful to the prime minister for the actions promoted by the Italian government towards poor countries.” This prompted Bono to post an open letter in the Italian daily Corriere Della Sera. He tellingly admits to being “flattered” by Berlusconi’s gesture, but also claims he was “exploited.”

The way I see it, when you spend much of your time brown-nosing politicians for photo ops, you have to expect such treatment.

Hey, if you sleep with the dogs...don’t be surprised if you wake with fleas.
