The Latest Generation Wages War on Terror
After 9/11, the 1% launched a perpetual “war on terror"…and you know what? Maybe a war on terror is precisely what we need.
No, I’m not declaring public allegiance to the current jihad against a tactic (which is in actuality a war against terrorist attacks not perpetrated by the U.S. or its allies). Instead, I’m thinking of another meaning entirely for our new favorite, post-9/11 word: “terror.”
As defined at Dictionary.com, “an overwhelming feeling of fear and anxiety” and/or an “intense, overpowering fear” characterize brand of the terror I speak of.
