How can we cheer up our dedicated defenders?
According to the newspaper of record, the good folks at the Department of Homeland Security are suffering from low morale. (Full article here: http://tinyurl.com/952jr)
Only 20 percent strongly agreed that their work gives them “a sense of personal accomplishment.”
Sounds like somebody needs a hug...so why not let the folks at DHS know what you really think of their efforts?

Speaking of protecting the homeland…
Michele and I saw Good Night, and Good Luck on Saturday...and while it practically canonizes Edward R. Murrow, it’s still a well-made, provocative, and must-see film about what Big Media could do if it chose to.

Has anyone else seen it?

Finally, one of the Expendables—Michael from Scotland—has started his own blog.

“Tub-Thumper - 1. A speaker or preacher who for emphasis thumps the pulpit; a violent or declamatory preacher or orator; a ranter. (from oed.com). This blog will be a combination of reasoned posting somedays and an occasional rant.”
Hope you’ll stop by and say hello.
