If not now, when?

We’ve all heard some variation of this question: How much more are the American people willing to endure before they take radical action in large numbers? To help you conjure up an answer, here’s some of what we’re already enduring without any serious fuss:
Epidemics of mostly preventable diseases like cancer, heart disease, diabetes, etc.
The poisoning of our air, water, and food (including mother’s breast milk)
Global warming, climate change, animal and plant extinctions, destruction of the rain forest, topsoil depletion, etc.
Attack of the Killer Cell Phones (Thanks, Frances)
One-third of Americans either uninsured or underinsured when it comes to health insurance
A rising income gap
Presidential lies, electoral fraud, limited candidates allowed to debate, etc.
The largest prison population on the planet
Corporate control of public land, public airwaves, and public pensions
Overt infringement of our civil liberties
A bloated defense budget, unilateral military interventions, war crimes committed in our name, etc.
Blah, blah, blah…
Again: How much more are the American people willing to endure before they take action in large numbers? Based on the above list, I’d say plenty more.
What do you think? What’s the tipping point?
