Here’s to a Joyous Winter Solstice in the No-Spin Zone...

The precise moment of the 2005 solstice will be December 21 at 1:35 P.M. EST (18:35 UT). Solstice means “standing-still-sun” and it occurs when, due to the earth’s tilt, your hemisphere is leaning farthest away from the sun.

I don’t know about you, but I refuse to shop at any store that doesn’t acknowledge the leaning of my hemisphere. Never mind sweatshop labor or fair wages or union bashing, my shopping habits are based entirely on the earth’s tilt.

Can I be frank? No? Well, can he be Frank?

Frank (roommate of James from Hell’s Kitchen) is recovering nicely and using this time to catch up on some reading.
