"The cavernous greed..."

Once upon a time...

...Michele and I went to see Natalie Merchant in concert at the Hiro Ballroom. Natalie, as always, was excellent. The audience was a different story. It was as if I was surrounded by corporate lawyers, investment bankers, real estate developers, etc. No wonder Natalie literally cried as she sang lines like...

"O, my five & dime queen
Tell me what have you seen?
The lust and the avarice
The bottomless, the cavernous greed
Is that what you see?"

She was pouring her heart and soul into such sentiment as affluent audience members elbowed past each other to take video of her on their $300 iPhones.

Who else wants to spin a yarn?
